German Day and Our International Street
Fair!

The final day of the OLPH International Feast,
Sunday, July 13th, 2008, will be one to remember with our 2nd Annual
International Street Fair!

That evening, we'll showcase live music in our
entertainment area by long-time favorite performers of our German
night, "The Spitzbaum".
The following information was taken from the website
- W. Wedler's World of Music about the group "The Spitzbaum"
"The group is
generally contained within the Metropolitan New York area although
they have been sighted in locations as far ranging as Rochester,
Pennsylvania and even Bermuda. Musical selection ranges from
traditional, popular German and Austrian numbers, to country western
and rock-'n'-roll. The band is associated with and provides
accompaniment for numerous German/Austrian folk dance groups."
Enjoy fine German food including Knockwurst,
Bratwurst, Sauerkraut and Potato Pancakes, as well as our other delicious
ethnic foods.
This will be the 3rd year that we'll be
hosting vendors in 30 spots under the "big tent" that is located on the old
convent lawn on Wellwood Avenue. Please make sure to visit our vendors
who'll be showcasing ethnic inspired items on each
specific themed evening.
